Ceramics Nasturtium leaves

Nasturtium leaves

£280.00
Sold

Inspired by a summer day in Yoshi’s garden, the paintings on this bowl surge with a bold nasturtium leaf pattern. The round leaves create a spinning form as though resting upon the interior slope of the bowl. The outer surface is covered with delicate drawings of grasses and flowers.

This hand-made bowl is shaped from pure white stoneware. It stands on three tiny feet allowing the curve of the bowl to float just above the table surface. The subtle unevenness of its edges lend to the playful spirit of cobalt markings and botanical forms inspired by the interconnected rhythms of nature.

White stoneware with cobalt oxide, fired at 1280 °C

13cm width, 7cm height
